I James Elkins of Westbury in the County of Wilts Clothworker do hereby revoke all former Wills by me made and do declare my last will and Testament to be as followeth that is to say First to my Sister Edith Slug I give ten shillings Item to my Neices [sic] Elianor Elkins and Mary the wife of John Mansell I give half a Crown apiece Item to M? Samuel Gibbs of Westbury aforesaid I give five pounds In trust nevertheless for John Smith my apprentice and to be applied in the replacing him forth apprentice Item to the said M? Gibbs I give Forty shillings In trust for my nephew William Elkins to be applied towards placing him out apprentice And I will that all the said Legacies shall be payd Immediately after my decease Item I forgive my nephew Richard Slug all such money as he shall owe to me at the time of my decease Except the money due on his note of hand Lastly all the Residue of my Goods Chattels and personal Estate I give to my wife and do nominate her sole Executrix hereof In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the Seventeenth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hudred and thirty eight.
