I Judith Asher of Westmoreland place City Road in the County of Middlesex Widow being of sound mind memory and understanding do make this my last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say First I direct that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expences may be paid as soon as convenient after my decease I give devise and bequeath unto my two sons Henry Asher and Isaac Asher and the survivor of them and the executors and administrators of such Survivor all my leasehold estates In trust that as soon after my decease as convenient they make sale and dispose thereof for the best price that can be gotten for the same and pay the proceeds of such sale after executing my will in other respects by satisfying the bequests hereinafter contained in equal shares and proportions between and amongst my children Andrew Asher Henry Asher Isaac Asher George Asher Elizabeth the wife of Asher Benjamin Esther the Wife of Alexander Levy Lydia the Wife of John Nelson Abbott and Sarah Asher share and share alike and in case any of my said children should die before my decease then the share or shares of such child or children so dying shall belong to his or her child or children if any in equal proportions but if none then such share or shares shall belong to the survivor or survivors of my said children in equal proportions And I direct my said trustees and trustee or the survivor of them to sell my plate and pay and divide the proceeds thereof along with the proceeds of the sale of my said leaseholds in like manner therewith [section crossed through and illegible. In margin:] ^Orig.l so^ and benefit I give and bequeath unto my daughter Sarah Asher all my household furniture linen china and wearing apparel I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth Benjamin one pair of diamond earrings one pair of gold bracelets and brooch to correspond I give and bequeath unto my daughter Esther Levy one gold neck chain her late father's miniature picture therewith and a small diamond ring I give and bequeath unto my daughter Lydia Abbott my gold watch and gold chain and seals thereto appended I give and bequeath to my Son Henry Asher my large diamond ring I give and bequeath unto my son Isaac Asher my second size diamond ring I give and bequeath to my son Andrew Asher my third size diamond ring I give and bequeath to my son George Asher my diamond pin I give devise and bequeath unto my said trustees and trustee and the trustees or trustee for the time being All the Rest Residue and Remainder of my personal estate and effects In trust to make sale and dispose of such part thereof as doth not consist of cash and add the proceeds of such sale together with all my ready money unto the proceeds arising from the sale of my said leaseholds and stand possessed thereof upon the like trusts as are hereinbefore specefied [sic] in respect to my said leaseholds And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint the said Henry Asher and Isaac Asher Executors of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former and other Wills by me at any time heretofore made And I do declare this to be and contain my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said testatrix Judith Asher have to this my last Will and Testament contained in this one sheet of paper to the first and second sides thereof set my hand and to this third and last side thereof set my hand and seal this eighteenth day of February in the year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirty two

Appeared Personally Isaac Asher of Westmoreland Place City Road in the County of Middlesex Dentist and being sworn to depose the truth made oath as follows that he is the son and one of the executors named in the last Will and Testament hereunto annexed of Judith Asher late of Westmoreland Place City Road aforesaid Widow deceased the said Will bearing date the eighteenth day of February in the Year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirty two and he further made oath that on the thirteenth day of May last being the day of the deceaseds death Sarah Asher the deponents sister handed to him the said Will which was then enclosed in an envelope and sealed up that he did not at that time open the said Will but that some short time after the deceased's funeral he in the presence of the said Sarah Asher and of Henry Asher his Co Executor broke the seal of the Envelope in which the Will was enclosed and he then read the same and he then particularly observed that the legacy of ten pounds to the deceased's servant Mary Lee has been struck through with a pen on part of the fourth and part of the fifth lines from the bottom of the first side of the said Will as the same now appears and he further saith that the said deceased about fifteen months previous to her death discharged the set Mary Lee from her service and she the deceased afterwards informed the deponent that she has crossed out the legacy to the said Mary Lee in the said Will and he lastly saith that the said Will is now in every respect in the same plight and condition as the same was in when he so as aforesaid opened it save that the Jurate hath since been written thereon Isaac Asher On the 7th day of July 1835 the said Isaac Asher was duly sworn to the truth of this Affidavit Before me W.
