ON the Thirtieth day of January 1886, the Will of Thomas Miller, late of Cropwell Butler, in the County of Nottingham Labourer, deceased, who died on the Twelfth day of January 1866, at Cropwell Butler aforesaid was proved in the District Registry attached to Her Majesty's Court of Probate at Nottingham by the Oath of John Doncaster, of Bingham, in the County of Nottingham, Surveyor, the sole Executor therein named he having been first sworn duly to administer.

This is the last Will and Testament of me Thomas Miller of Cropwell Butler, in the County of Nottingham Labourer made published and declared in manner following that is to say First I will and direct that all my just debts funeral and testamentary Expences be paid and satisfied out of my personal Estates and Effects I will and devise unto my friend John Doncaster of Bingham, in the County of Nottingham Surveyor All and singular all that my freehold Cottage situate in Cropwell Butler aforesaid with the Garden and appurtenances thereunto belonging And also all my personal Estates and Effects monies and securities for monies household furniture and also all other my real and personal Estate and Effects of whatever nature and wheresoever situated either in possession or in expectancy (upon trust) First I will and direct that he my said trustee shall sell and dispose of my aforesaid Cottage and Garden as soon as he my said trustee shall think well after my decease either by Public auction or Private Contrac? whichever way he may think best with power to make any Special Conditions of Sale and rescind any Contract and vary the same as he my aforesaid trustee may think well and call in all monies and Securities for monies and sell and dispose of all my household Furniture and after payment of all my just debts and the expences of the Sale of my aforesaid Cottage and all other expences incurred in carrying out the provisions of this my last will I will and bequeath the residue of my aforesaid (real and personal) Estates and Effects unto and equally between all and every one of my four Sons namely Robert, John, Thomas and Charles in four equal shares and proportions I devise all real Estates vested in me as a trustee or Mortgage to my said trustee his heirs executors administrators and assigns subject to the trusts and equities affecting the same respectively And I further declare that the receipt of my said trustee shall exonerate purchasers and others paying any monies to such trustee by virtue of this my will from all responsibility or liability in respect to the application thereof or being accountable for the misapplication or nonapplication thereof or any part thereof And lastly I hereby nominate and appoint the aforesaid John Doncaster his heirs executors administrators and [in margin:] "Executor" assigns whole and sole Executor of this my last will giving him full power and authority to carry out its provisions accordingly revoking all former wills made my me and I hereby Constitute this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have set my hand this Fifth day of July One thousand eight hundred and sixty two Thomas Miller Signed Published and declared by the within named Testator Thomas Miller as his last will in the presence of us who in his presence and at his request and in the presence of each other all present at the same time have subscribed our names as Witnesses Mary Strong William Clifton
